Anti-Heat Shock Protein 70 (HSP70)

HSP70 is a member of the chaperonin family. It stabilizes existing proteins against aggregation and mediates the folding of newly translated polypeptides in both cytosol and organelles. HSP70 participates in all of these processes through its ability to recognize nonnative conformations of other proteins. It binds extended peptide segments with a net hydrophobic character exposed during translation and membrane translocation or following stress-induced damage. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.05-0.2ug/ml , Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20ºC. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
