Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and inner-membrane mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT plays a role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: FLISA: 1:1000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Do not freeze APC conjugates. Light sensitive. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
