Anti-GJB1 (Gap Junction beta-1 Protein, Connexin-32, Cx32, GAP Junction 28kD Liver Protein, CX32)

This gene encodes for a Connexin 32 protein. A large Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease family has been identified with a novel mutation in the Cx32 P2 promoter region at position -526bp. Cx32 mutants that are associated with a CNS phenotype may have toxic effects in oligodendrocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2.5ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry: 4-8ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
