N­acetylated­alpha­linked acidic dipeptidase 2 (NAALADase­2), also known as glutamate carboxypeptidase 3 (GCP3), is a 90­100kD type 2 transmembrane protein in the M28 peptidase family. It hydrolyzes beta­citrylglutamate (BCG) and N­acetyl­aspartylglutamate (NAAG) which are abundant dipeptides found in brain and testis. Mature human NAALADase­2 consists of a 7 amino acid (aa) cytoplasmic domain, a 24aa transmembrane segment, and a 709aa extracellular region (aa32­740) that contains the peptidase domain. Over aa32­740, human NAALADase­2 shares 89% aa sequence identity with mouse NAALADase­2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry: 8­25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
