FoxC2 belongs to a large family of nuclear transcription factor proteins sharing a common forkhead/winged helix DNA binding domain. FoxC2 is implicated in epithelial to mesenchymal transition, human lymphedemia-distichiasis syndrome, and tumor metastasis. Experiments in mice indicate that FoxC2 controls adipocyte morphogenesis and null mice show defects in axial and cranial skeletogenesis, as well. In addition the transcriptional activity of FoxC2 influences expression of cytokine receptors such as CXCR4. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
