Product information "Anti-Follicle Stimulating Hormone beta (FSHb)"
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone beta (FSH beta) is a 21kD component of the glycoprotein hormone FSH (Accession # NP_000501). It is secreted by the pituitary in noncovalent association with an alpha chain that is also a component of luteinizing hormone, thryoid stimulating hormone, and chorionic gonadotropin. FSH promotes ovarian follicle maturation and spermatogenesis through interactions with FSH R. Human FSH beta shares approximately 90% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat FSH beta. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml, ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, detection limit is ~3ng/well, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute by adding sterile PBS. Aliquot and store at -20°C.
