Fibronectins are diverse high molecular weight cell adhesion glycoproteins found in basement membranes, in the interstitial connective tissue matrix, and in soluble in plasma and other body fluids. In adult tissues most fibronectin is produced by hepatocytes (pFn) that differ from locally produced cellular fibronectins. cFns are found in some basement membranes during development and only in distinct tissues in adult, for instance in smooth muscle and alveolar walls of airways. cFns are abundant in the plasma of carcinoma patients and in the stroma of various carcinomas. Applications: Suitable for use Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
