Anti-FASN (FAS, Fatty Acid Synthase, MGC14367, MGC15706)

FAS (Fatty Acid Synthase) is a central enzyme in de novo lipogenesis (triglyceride production). It is a target for SREBP and is upregulated by LXR activation. Fatty liver is often the result of FAS activation. It is also one of the accepted markers for insulin resistance and SREBP, LXR activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
