Anti-Ezrin (Radixin, Moesin, Cytovillin, p81)

ERM (Ezrin-Radixin-Moesin) proteins function as plasma membrane-actin cytoskeleton linkers and participate in the formation of specialized domains of the plasma membrane. One function of ezrin is in determining survival of epithelia cells by activating the P1-3-kinase/Akt pathway. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml detected Ezrin in RIPA lysates from A431 cells and a mourine brain lysate., Immunohistochemistry: 10ug/ul detects Ezrin in paraf?n embedded human skin tissue sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control Included: A0001-50: A431 Cell Lysate, Non-Stimulated. Add 2.5ul of 2-mercaptoethanol/100ul of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ug of reduced lysate per lane for minigels. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
