Anti-Estrogen Receptor (ER), clone 5F238

Estrogen receptor can be detected in up to 70% of breast carcinomas. The quantity of estrogen receptor protein is important for prognosis and treatment of breast cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections and paraffin-embedded tissue after microwave pretreatment), Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:5-1:10, Positive Control: ER-positive cell line (e.g. MCF-7). Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
