Product information "Anti-EP1"
Is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family. This protein is one of four receptors identified for prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). Through a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, Gq proteins mediate this receptor's activity. Knockout studies in mice suggested a role of this receptor in mediating algesia and in regulation of blood pressure. Studies in mice also suggested that this gene may mediate adrenocorticotropic hormone response to bacterial endotoxin. Abundant in kidney. Lower level expression in lung, skeletal muscle and spleen, lowest expression in testis and not detected in liver brain and heart. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 5-20ug/ml, Immunocytochemistry: 5-20ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control (Supplied): 362975A: Suppled as a recombinant protein EP1, in 100mM Tris, pH 6.8, 1% SDS, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.02% BPB, 50mM DTT, 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol., DAB: 10ul/well, ECL: 5ul/well, Store at -20°C.
