Product information "Anti-DISP1 dispatched homolog 1 (Drosophila)"
The pattern of cellular proliferation and differentiation that leads to normal development of embryonic structures often depends upon the localized production of secreted protein signals. Cells surrounding the source of a particular signal respond in a graded manner according to the effective concentration of the signal, and this response produces the pattern of cell types constituting the mature structure. A novel segment-polarity gene known as dispatched has been identified in Drosophila and its protein product is required for normal Hedgehog (Hh) signaling. This gene is one of two human homologs of Drosophila dispatched and, based on sequence identity to its mouse counterpart, the encoded protein may play an essential role in Hh patterning activities in the early embryo. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000, Western Blot: >1ug/ml Preliminary experiments gave no signal but low background in Human Lung and A549 extracts, Immunofluorescence: Cell membrane staining in cell line U87. These data corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Etheridge et al, Development. 2010 Jan,137(1):133-40, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
