Anti-DIAPH2 (Protein Diaphanous Homolog 2, Diaphanous-related Formin-2, DRF2, DIA)

DIAPH2, also called DRF2, is an 1101aa, 126kD (calculated) cytoplasmic protein in the Diaphenous family of actin binding proteins. Disruption of DIAPH2 has been correlated with premature ovarian failure in humans. Within the region used as an immunogen, human DIAPH2 shares 89% and 90% aa identity with mouse and rat DIAPH2, respectively. Two additional isoforms have been described. One, called hDia2C 1097aa, is lacking aa45-55, but has 7aa inserted after aa149. This form specifically binds RhoD and restricts movement of early endosomes along actin filaments. A 1106aa form diverges after 1080aa. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution:I Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
