Anti-CREBZF (CREB/ATF bZIP Transcription Factor, Host Cell Factor-binding Transcription Factor Zhang

ZHANGFEI, also known as ZF, is a basic region-leucine zipper transcriptional factor that has been implicated in herpes virus infection cycle and related cellular processes. ZHANGFEI protein has a negatively charged active N-terminus, a leucine zipper of six heptad leucine repeats separated by a conserved 6aa spacer, a basic domain and a bZIP region. ZHANGFEI strongly activates transcription and suppresses the expression of HSV proteins in cells infected with the virus in a HCFC1 dependent manner. It also suppresses the HCFC1 dependent transcriptional activation by CREB3 and reduces the amount of CREB3 in the cell. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Immunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: K562 Cell Lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
