Anti-CFB, ID (Complement Factor B, C3/C5 Convertase, Properdin Factor B, Glycine-rich beta Glycoprot

CFB encodes complement factor B, a component of the alternative pathway of complement activation. Factor B circulates in the blood as a single chain polypeptide. Upon activation of the alternative pathway, it is cleaved by complement factor D yielding the noncatalytic chain Ba and the catalytic subunit Bb. The active subunit Bb is a serine protease which associates with C3b to form the alternative pathway C3 convertase. Bb is involved in the proliferation of preactivated B lymphocytes, while Ba inhibits their proliferation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100, Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50, Western Blot: 1:1000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
