Anti-CEACAM7 (CEACAM-7, CGM2, Carcinoembryonic Antigen Cell Adhesion Molecule 7) (Biotin)

CEACAM-7 (carcinoembryonic antigen cell adhesion molecule 7, also CGM2) is a 40-45kD member of the CEACAM subfamily of the CEA family of proteins. It has a restricted expression pattern, being found on epithelium of the colon, appendix and pancreatic ducts. It is markedly down-regulated in colon carcinoma. Mature human CEACAM-7 is a 209 amino acid (aa), GPI-linked glycoprotein. It contains one V-type (aa36-142) and one C2-type (aa146-233) Ig-like domain, plus a 21aa C-terminal propeptide. One alternate splice form exists that shows a deletion of aa143-235. No definitive rodent CEACAM-7 has been reported. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute in sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
