Anti-CD81 (TAPA-1, Target of anti-Proliferative Antibody-1) (Biotin)

Human CD81 is a member of the tetraspan family of leukocyte cell surface molecules which are involved in signal transduction, cell-cell adhesion and cellular activation. Association of CD81 with integrins appears to be functionally important in the regulation of cell adhesion and activation. Recent work with CD81-null mice indicates CD81 is important for development of humoral immune response. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml labels 5x10e5 cultured human CEM cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. 5x10e5 cultured human CEM cells per tube were incubated for 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2433-10B at 10ug/ml., 2. Washed cells twice and incubate with S7973-88P: Streptavidin (PE)., 3. Washed cells three times, fix and analyze by FACS., 4. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 2.42 log10 fluorescent units when compared to I1904-76K: IgG1 Murine Negative Control (Biotin) at a similar concentration., 5. Binding was blocked when cells were pre-incubated with 20ul of C2433-10A at a similar concentration. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
