Anti-CD81 (CD81 Antigen, 26 kDa Cell Surface Protein TAPA-1, CVID6, S5.7, Target of The Antiprolifer

Human CD81 is a member of the tetraspan family of leukocyte cell surface molecules which are involved in signal transduction, cell-cell adhesion, and cellular activation (1). Association of CD81 with integrins appears to be functionally important in the regulation of cell adhesion and activation (2, 3). Recent work with CD81-null mice indicates CD81 is important for development of humoral immune response (4). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
