Anti-CD79A (B-cell Antigen Receptor Complex-associated Protein alpha Chain, Ig-alpha, MB-1 Membrane

CD79A, also known as Iga and MB-1, is a 44kD transmembrane glycoprotein in the immunoglobulin superfamily. It contains a single Ig-like domain in its extracellular domain (ECD) and one cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM). Alternate splicing generates a short isoform with a 39aa deletion in the ECD. Heterodimers of CD79A and CD79B/IgB associate with a membrane bound immunoglobulin on the B cell surface to form the B cell antigen receptor complex (BCR). CD79A and CD79B are required for BCR-mediated signaling and consequently for the development and activation of B lineage cells. Within the ECD, human CD79A shares 57% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat CD79A. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1x10e6 cells using human peripheral blood lymphocytes., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Absorption: 620-650nm , Emission: 660-670nm, Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
