Anti-CD74 (HLA-DR, DHLAG, HLA class II histocompatibility antigen gamma, HLADG, Ia antigen-associate

CD74 is a transmembrane protein which, on presenting cells, is the invariant chain that chaperones MHC class II dimers from the endoplasmic reticulum to the cell surface. The cytoplasmic portion of CD74 can be released by intramembrane cleavage and activate NFkappaB. CD74 is up-regulated in several cancers and is also expressed by non-immune cells during inflammation. This was raised to a splice variant of human CD74 which lacks the Thyroglobulin type 1 repeat in the extracellular domain. Within comparable regions, human CD74 shares 70% and 73% aa)sequence identity with mouse and rat CD74, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Myeloma cells with B cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
