Anti-CD56 (NCAM-1, Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule) (PE)

Human CD56 is an adhesion molecule from the Ig superfamily which is restricted to NK cells in the immune system. It is believed that NK cells form a first line of defense against tumor cells and cells infected with bacteria and viruses. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. Five x 10e5 ficoll prepared human peripheral white blood cells per tube were washed and preincubated ~5 minutes with 20 ul of 250 ug/ml human IgG (to block nonspecific binding) after which they were incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of C2410-55F at a dilution factor of 1:50 (10ug/ml). , 2. Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed using a BD FACS Calibur. , 3. A net 13% sub population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.1 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1/R-PE negative control at a similar concentration. , 4. Binding was 88% blocked when pre incubated 10 minutes with 20 ul of 0.5 mg/ml unlabeled antibody C2410-55C, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only pror to immediate use. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. Light sensitive.
