Product information "Anti-CD41a"
CD41a represents the integrin alphaIIb subunit that is expressed as a heterodimer noncovalently associated with the integrin beta3 subunit (CD61) to form the platelet glycoprotein complex, gpIIb/IIIa (CD41/CD61). It is expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes. Ligands for the CD41/CD61 heterodimer include fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, fibronectin, vitronectin and thrombospondin. Binding to these ligands is dependent upon the activation state of the platelets. Unstimulated platelets only bind immobilized fibrinogen. The CD41/CD61 complex is the major integrin on platelets and is important for platelet adhesion and aggregation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 1ml ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
