Member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR)/nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR)... more
Product information "Anti-CD30 (Ki-1 antigen, Hodgkin & Reed-Sternberg Cell Marker), clone 0.N.99"
Member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR)/nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR) superfamily (1,2,3). In normal lymphoid tissues, CD30 (also known as Ki-1 antigen) is expressed on a few extrafollicular-activated T and B blasts and B blasts located at the rim of germinal center (1,2). This antigen is absent from peripheral blood cells and bone marrow cells of healthy donors. In vitro, CD30 expression is induced on lectine-stimulated T-cell, B-cell blast and on mixed lymphocyte culture (MLC) suggesting an activated lymphoid cells expression feature (2,3). Recent studies suggest that expression of CD30 re?ects a selective differentiation and/or activation pathway on T cells producing Th2-type cytokines. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (paraffin). Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (frozen and formalin/paraffin): 1:40-1:80. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Note that 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0 is better than 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for unmasking the epitope., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
