Anti-CD3 (Early T Cell Marker), clone 5B2

The CD3 complex is closely associated at the lymphocyte cell surface with the T cell antigen receptor (TCR). Reportedly, CD3 complex is involved in signal transduction to the T cell interior following antigen recognition. The CD3 antigen is first detectable in early thymocytes and probably represents one of the earliest signs of commitment to the T cell lineage. In cortical thymocytes, CD3 is predominantly intracytoplasmic. However, in medullary thymocytes, it appears on the T cell surface. CD3 antigen is a highly specific marker for T cells and is present in majority of T cell neoplasms. CD3 antigen is expressed on approximately 60-80% of human peripheral blood lymphocytes, 20-40% of splenic lymphocytes, the majority of T-CLL and approximately 70% pf T-All. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
