Product information "Anti-CD14, clone 3H504"
The CD14 molecule is found predominantly on monocytes and macrophages in flow cytometry, it is less strongly expressed on granulocytes, and is absent from stem cells and myeloid cells of very early differentiation states. In immunohistochemistry, the CD14 molecule is found to be present on Langerhans cells, follicular dendritic cells, histocytes and high endothelial venules. In ELISA, recognizes the soluble form CD14., Reported to block the binding of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to monocytes (2). Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, ELISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul., Western Blot: Non-reducing conditions, Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Hybridoma: Spleen cells from mice immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells from the NS1-Ag4/1 mouse myeloma line. Recommended Negative Controls: Mouse IgG1 Negative Control, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add glycerol (40-50%) and aliquot. Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
