Anti-CD14, clone 2Q1233

Reacts with 50-55kD protein. It will detect blood monocytes, Kupffer cells, red pulp macrophages, dendritic cells and also "epithelioid" or giant cells within granulomatous tissue, foam cells in renal interstitium and placental dendritic cells and macrophages. Monocytes react with antibody in the early stages of differentiation. Does not react with promonocytes and monoblasts. Activity is not lost on monocyte/macrophage activation. CD14 is an important general cell marker for mononuclear phagocytes in normal samples and a variety of disease states including a proportion of cases of myeloid leukemia. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry with Immunoperoxidase staining. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:25, Dilute with isotonic PBS buffer. Use 50ul per 1x10e6 peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) in 100ul buffer. 90% positive staining of monocytes at a working dilution of 2ug per test., Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:25-1:100 On acetone fixed, frozen sections., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
