Anti-Carbonic Anhydrase XII

Carbonic anhydrase XII (CA12) is a type I membrane enzyme highly expressed in colon, kidney, prostate, intestine and activated lymphocytes and moderately expressed in pancreas, ovary, and testis. It is over-expressed in some renal cell cancers and in glaucoma. Two alternatively spliced forms exist, which either contain or lack an 11 amino acid segment just before the transmembrane domain. The amino acid sequence of human CA12 is 97%, 84%, 82%, 81%, and 67% identical to that of chimpanzee, canine, mouse, rat and chicken. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using recombinant Human Carbonic Anhydrase XII, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
