Anti-BNIP3, BH3 Domain (NIP3, BCL2/Adenovirus E1B 19kD Protein-interacting Protein 3)

NIP3 is a member of the BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19kD-interacting protein (BNIP) family. It interacts with the E1B 19kD protein which is responsible for the protection of virally-induced cell death, as well as E1B 19kD-like sequences of BCL2, also an apoptotic protector. NIP3 contains a BH3 domain and a transmembrane domain, which have been associated with pro-apoptotic function. The dimeric mitochondrial protein is known to induce apoptosis, even in the presence of BCL2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
