Recognizes the multiple splice variants of human, mouse and rat beta-Pix a, b, bL, c and d-isoforms. Cross-reacts with human and rat beta-Pix. Liquid. 0.2µm-filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Contains no preservatives. beta-PIX acts as a RAC1 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) and can induce membrane ruffling. It interacts with PAK kinases through the SH3 domain. It may function as a positive regulator of apoptosis and is involved in cell migration. It is expressed with high levels in the central nervous system.
