Anti-Aquaporin 1 Antibody was purified by affinity chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Aquaporin 1 from Human, Mouse, and Rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Other species not yet tested. Cross-reactivity with Aquaporin 1 from other sources has not been determined. Channels and Transporters research. Protein function: Forms a water-specific channel that provides the plasma membranes of red cells and kidney proximal tubules with high permeability to water, thereby permitting water to move in the direction of an osmotic gradient.
