Product information "Anti-Apolipoprotein B (Apo B)"
Human ApoB (apolipoprotein B-100) is a 550kD, secreted, palmitoylated glycoprotein that is part of LDL and VLDL particles. It is made by liver and is 4536aa in length. It binds LDL to the ApoB/E receptor. Multiple forms of ApoB-100 exist, ApoB-25, 26, 29, 37, 39, 48 and 74. The numbers reflect each molecule's predicted MW as a percentage of ApoB-100 (= 512kD). AA1206-1414 of the precursor were used for immunization. Based on likelihood of secretion, this antibody may recognize B26 (1297aa), B37 (1728aa), B39 (1799aa) and B48 (2152aa). Over the immunization polypeptide range, human ApoB-100 is 80% and 82% aa identical to mouse and canine ApoB-100, respectively. , , Applications:, Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit is ~10ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Chemiluminescent detection will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold. , Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 25ug/ml for normal human liver tissue sections. , Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml The detection limit is ~25ng/well., Opimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma B cells, Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
