Anti-APOC3 (Apolipoprotein C-III, Apo-CIII, ApoC-III, Apolipoprotein C3)

Apolipoprotein C-III (Apo CIII) is one of 9 known polymorphic forms of apolipoproteins. The apolipoproteins functions as stabilizer of the intact lipoprotein particles. Specifically, Apo CIII is a very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) protein. Apo CIII is involved inhibition of lipoprotein lipase and hepatic lipase. It is thought to delay catabolism of triglyceride-rich particles. A defect in Apo CIII has been linked to cause of hyperalphalipoproteinemia (HLAP), which causes increase levels of high density lipoprotein (HDL). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
