Protein function: May have a role in chylomicrons and VLDL secretion and catabolism. Required for efficient activation of lipoprotein lipase by ApoC-II, potent activator of LCAT. Apoa-IV is a major component of HDL and chylomicrons. [The UniProt Consortium] Validated by standard strategies. Buffer: 40% glycerol and PBS (pH 7.2). 0.02% sodium azide is added as preservative. Highest antigen sequence identity to mouse: 65% and to rat: 28%. Epitope specificity: EQLRQKLGPHAGDVE.
