Anti-Alpha Synuclein Antibody is directed against humand Alpha Synuclein protein. The antibody was produced from clarified mouse ascetic fluid. Reactivity is expected against alpha synuclein from most mammalian species based on 100% sequence homology. Cross reactivity with Alpha Synuclein from other sources has not been determined. Protein function: May be involved in the regulation of dopamine release and transport. Induces fibrillization of microtubule-associated protein tau. Reduces neuronal responsiveness to various apoptotic stimuli, leading to a decreased caspase-3 activation. [The UniProt Consortium]
