Rabbit Polyclonal ALKBH2 Antibody against Human alkB homolog 2, alpha-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase. Validated for Western Blot. Buffer: 40% glycerol and PBS (pH 7.2). 0.02% sodium azide is added as preservative. Interspecies information: Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: ENSMUSG00000044339: 37%, ENSRNOG00000028584: 40%. Protein function: Dioxygenase that repairs alkylated DNA and RNA containing 1- methyladenine and 3-methylcytosine by oxidative demethylation. Can also repair alkylated DNA containing 1-ethenoadenine (in vitro). Has strong preference for double-stranded DNA. Has low efficiency with single- stranded substrates.
