Albumin is a stable small polypeptide with a strong antigenicity. Its molecular weight is about 69000. It has a high mobility in electrophoresis, shows macro-heterogeneity especially under pathological conditions and it can bind a large number of physiological and non-physiological molecules. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoelectrophoresis, Double Radial Immunodiffusion and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:5000-1:15,000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:500, Immunocytochemistry: 1:100-1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biotin/IgG protein molar ratio (B/P): ~6.4 , Storage and Stability:, Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
