Environmental Toxicology Assays
Harmful effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and emerging contaminants affect organisms causing a wide range of developmental, reproductive, neurological, or metabolic effects in humans and wildlife. Water quality monitoring enables you to be able to act quickly if toxic levels of chemicals are present in water samples. Indigo Biosciences has an extensive list of cell-based bioassays that are predictive of cellular toxicity pathways including endocrine disruption, altered xenobiotic metabolism, and adaptive stress responses. Released 2025.
GLP-1R & GIPR Assays
Indigo Biosciences has developed human and murine GLP-1R reporter assays and a human GIPR reporter assay that deliver rapid, reproducible data to streamline research in drug discovery and inform IND filing for therapies related to type II diabetes and obesity. Indigo’s assays enable precise characterization of GLP-1R and GIPR agonists and inhibitors, exhibiting high reproducibility with minimal lot-to-lot variability. The assay workflow allows rapid characterization of GLP-1R and GIPR activators and inhibitors, providing actionable data in as little as 24 hours to expedite drug development timelines. Released October 2024.
GPCR Assay Kits
The GPCR assay kits by Indigo Biosciences are useful in early drug discovery programs to identify the best leads based on potency, efficacy, and specificity. INDIGO’s assay portfolio helps maximize on-target effectiveness while identifying undesirable off-target effects. Indigo’s GPCR reporter assay kits contain all materials needed to perform the assay, including cryopreserved optimized reporter cells, two types of media for use in recovering the cryopreserved cells and for diluting test samples, reference compound, luciferase detection reagent, a cell culture-ready assay plate, and a detailed protocol. Released October 2024.
Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Assays
Eliminate weeks of cell culture work while achieving superior sensitivity with reproducible results from these all-inclusive cell-based luciferase reporter assays. Indigo’s Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) reporter assays allow you to quickly screen test samples to quantify their ability to regulate this important receptor. The AhR assays utilize proprietary mammalian cells that have been engineered to provide constitutive expression of AhR. In addition to AhR Reporter Cells, these kits provide optimized media for use during cell culture, a reference agonist, luciferase detection reagent, and a cell culture-ready assay plate. Released October 2024.
INDIGlo Luciferase Detection Reagent
INDIGlo Luciferase Detection Reagent (LDR) is formulated to deliver steady, long-lived luminescence signal from mammalian reporter cells expressing firefly luciferase. The reagent is “ready to use” without the requirement to first re-constitute powder-form components. INDIGlo LDR works equally well in quantifying expressed luciferase activity from 96-, 384-, or 1536-well format reporter assays. The resulting light emission is stable over a two-hour period with less than 10% fluctuation in signal, making INDIGlo LDR an ideal, economical detection reagent for both low- and high-throughput batch processing of assay plates. Updated October 2024.
Cell-based Reporter Assays
Fast, reproducible, easy-to-analyze: Results are only four steps away! Indigo’s cell-based reporter assays allow scientists to detect any biological activity that their test samples may exert against a specific receptor present in the cell. They utilize firefly luciferase reporter gene technology which provides superior sensitivity and reproducibility. Since the receptor binding controls the expression of the luciferase reporter gene, luciferase activity in the cells can be correlated directly with the activity of the receptor. The strength of an interaction of a chemical with the target receptor is quantified using a luminometer to measure the level of light emitted. Updated October 2024.
