SAPK2a, p38 alpha, Recombinant, Human (Stress-activated Protein Kinase 2a)

Recombinant p38/SAPK2 is a non-glycosylated polypeptide produced by phosphorylation of the purified p38 alpha with MKK6 having a molecular mass of 42.7kD. Dimers and Aggregates: < 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Unit Definition: 1 U = 1 pmol/min transferred to myelin basic protein at 30ºC. Biological Activity: Specific activity > 1x10e5 U/mg, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
