Product information "RUNX2/CBFA1 protein (His tag), recombinant rat"
Activity: Testing in progress Protein Construction: A DNA sequence encoding the Rat RUNX2 protein (Q9Z2J9) (Asp 127-Ile 218) was expressed with a N-His tag. Sequence: Asp 127-Ile 218. Fusion tag: N-His Endotoxin: Please contact us for more information. Apparent Molecular Mass: 12 kDa. Protein function: CBFA1, also called runt-related transcription factor 2 (RUNX2), is an essential transcription factor for the regulation of osteoblast differentiation. The CBFA1 gene potentially encodes several proteins that differ in their N-terminal sequences and transa Protein function: Transcription factor involved in osteoblastic differentiation and skeletal morphogenesis. Essential for the maturation of osteoblasts and both intramembranous and endochondral ossification. CBF binds to the core site, 5'-PYGPYGGT-3', of a number of enhancers and promoters, including murine leukemia virus, polyomavirus enhancer, T-cell receptor enhancers, osteocalcin, osteopontin, bone sialoprotein, alpha 1(I) collagen, LCK, IL-3 and GM-CSF promoters. Inhibits KAT6B-dependent transcriptional activation. In osteoblasts, supports transcription activation: synergizes with SPEN/MINT to enhance FGFR2-mediated activation of the osteocalcin FGF-responsive element (OCFRE). [The UniProt Consortium]
