Serine proteinase neutrophil elastases are stored in azurophilic granules located inside the neutrophils and aid the neutrophil in thwarting foreign entities. Activity: ~20-22 units per mg protein. Unit Definition: One unit is de?ned as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes one umole of MeO-Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Val-pNA per minute at 25°C, pH 8.0. Storage and Stability: For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C.
