Fertirelin is a peptide agonist of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GnRHR) and a derivative of GnRH. It binds to GnRHR in CHO cells expressing the human receptor (Ki = 0. nM). In vivo, fertirelin (200 µg/animal) increases serum levels of luteinizing hormone and induces luteinization of follicular cysts in dairy cows..
