Acetyl Hexapeptide-49 (trifluoroacetate salt)

Acetyl hexapeptide-49 is an antagonist of proteinase-activated receptor 2 (PAR2). It inhibits PAR2 agonist-induced calcium release and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and IL-6 production in human keratinocytes. Acetyl hexapeptide-49 also induces proliferation in human keratinocytes and has photoprotective activity in irradiated human dermal fibroblasts. Formulations containing acetyl hexapeptide-49 have been used in cosmetics..
