Product information "Trimetazidine-d8 (hydrochloride)"
Trimetazidine-d8 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of trimetazidine by GC- or LC-MS. Trimetazidine is a cardioprotective agent. It decreases ischemia-reperfusion injury-induced pyroptosis in H9c2 rat cardiomyocytes when used at concentrations ranging from 5 to 100 µM. In vivo, trimetazidine (10 mg/kg) reduces cardiac TNF-alpha and cardiac troponin I (CTnI) levels, improves left ventricular ejection fraction, and increases survival in a rat model of ventricular fibrillation-induced post-resuscitation myocardial dysfunction. Trimetazidine (20 mg/kg) increases overall survival, prevents neuromuscular junction degeneration, and delays motor function decline in an SOD1-G93A transgenic mouse model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Formulations containing trimetazidine have been used in the treatment of angina.Formal Name: 1-(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl)piperazine-2,2,3,3,5,5,6,6-d8, dihydrochloride. CAS Number: 1219795-37-5.
