ZD 7155 (hydrochloride)

ZD 7155 is a nonpeptide antagonist of the angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptor (IC50 = 3.3 nM). It inhibits angiotensin II-induced pressor responses in conscious normotensive rats in a dose-dependent manner and decreases mean arterial pressure in conscious spontaneously hypertensive rats when administered at a dose of 1.082 µmol/kg. ZD 7155 (10 mg/kg in the drinking water) improves motor nerve conduction velocity in the sciatic nerve in a rat model of streptozotocin-induced diabetic neuropathy.
