Sulindac-d3

Sulindac-d3 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of sulindac (Cay-10004386) by GC- or LC-MS. Sulindac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), selective COX-2 inhibitor (IC50s = 0.79 and >1,000 µM for COX-2 and COX-1, respectively), and prodrug form of sulindac sulfide (Cay-10004387). Sulindac is reduced by intestinal bacteria to form sulindac sulfide. It inhibits acetic acid-induced writhing in mice and reduces paw edema induced by carrageenan in rats when administered at a dose of 100 mg/kg. Sulindac (60 mg/kg) reduces tumor growth in MiaPaCa-2 and BxPC-3 mouse xenograft models.
