(S)-(+)-Clopidogrel (sulfate)

(S)-(+)-Clopidogrel is a prodrug form of the active metabolite of clopidogrel, which is a purinergic P2Y12 receptor antagonist. It inhibits aggregation of rat platelets induced by ADP, collagen, and thrombin ex vivo (ID50s = 4, 4.8, and 2.9 mg/kg). (S)-(+)-Clopidogrel increases tail bleeding time in rats in a dose-dependent manner.
