Hirsuteine

Hirsuteine is an indole alkaloid that has been found in U. sinensis and has neuroprotective activities. It reduces glutamate-induced cytotoxicity in primary rat cerebellar granule neurons when used at concentrations ranging from 100 to 300 µM.
