Doxofylline

Doxofylline is a methylxanthine bronchodilator. It inhibits phosphodiesterase 2A1 (PDE2A1) and is an adenosine A2A receptor antagonist (IC50s = 0.74 and 0.9 mM, respectively). Doxofylline (10 µM) reduces superoxide production induced by LPS or PMA (Cay-10008014) in isolated human monocytes. It delays platelet-activating factor-induced bronchoconstriction in isolated guinea pig lungs when used at concentrations ranging from 0.28 to 1.5 mM.
