Disuccinimidyl sulfoxide (DSSO) is a protein cross-linking probe designed to be used with mass spectrometry (MS). It contains two symmetric collision-induced dissociation (CID)-cleavable sites that allow effective identification of DSSO-cross-linked peptides based on their distinct fragmentation patterns.
