The kit is a Sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of PLA2G10 in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Detection Range: 7.81--500pg/mL. Sensitivity: 4.69pg/mL. Protein function: PA2 catalyzes the calcium-dependent hydrolysis of the 2- acyl groups in 3-sn-phosphoglycerides. Has a powerful potency for releasing arachidonic acid from cell membrane phospholipids. Prefers phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylcholine liposomes to those of phosphatidylserine.
